MLA is Hiring: Executive Manager, Massachusetts Library Association

Duties/Description:

The Executive Manager’s duties include: providing administrative support; implementing Board directives; managing membership renewals; maintaining a member database; organizing annual conference logistics, registration, and exhibitor sponsorship; assisting with the printing and mailing of all materials; managing the financial operations of the Association; and providing an office located in Massachusetts that will serve as the principle service location for the Association. In addition, the Executive Manager will keep on top of current trends in association management, conference planning, and organizational growth and will advise the Board.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have excellent customer service and communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment. Strong technical, accounting, and leadership skills are also necessary. The individual must be detail-oriented and adept at using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Quickbooks, and membership software. A bachelor’s degree is required; an MLS is preferred. Experience in office management is required.

Salary:

Salary: This is a part-time contracted position for 1250 hours over the course of the year. The salary range is $37,000-$44,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
