Welcome to the Youth Services Section
The object of the Youth Services Section shall be to promote library service to youth; to promote the profession of youth librarianship; to further the awareness of youth within the profession as well as the community at large, and to aid in implementing standards for public library services for children and young adults in Massachusetts.
Section meetings are held monthly, in locations around the state. Check the MLA Calendar for dates and locations. All members are welcome at meetings, either in person or virtually.

NEW! The 2010 revision of the Standards for Public Library Service to Young Adults in Massachusetts has been approved by the YSS membership. New sections include Young Adult Librarians as Leaders and Long-Range Planning. You can find a text-only version as well.
